Make An Impact:

Fossil is looking for an inspired, dedicated, and collaborative Assistant Leather Designer to join our Fossil leathers team and be part of our in-house design community. In this role, the Associate Leather Designer will be responsible to successfully accomplish the following:

• Collaborate with the Leather Design Team, Product Development, and Merchandising teams to develop line direction for seasonal needs of the Fossil leathers business 

• Participate in an environment that encourages innovation, creativity, and research while maintaining Fossil brand integrity and awareness of competitor threats and overall development direction

• Clearly and professionally present ideas to the team, Creative Director, and Merchandising team representing the Leathers’ line 

• Apply detail to designs that resonates with Fossil’s aesthetic 

• Prioritize and troubleshoot from initial concept stage through production according to the product development timeline

• Stay on top of trends through shopping and research to educate others on new trend development

• Work closely with PD to ensure project accuracy and pricing expectations

Who You Are:

1 - 2 years’ experience in leather design and fashion accessory construction

• Hand sketching skills highly preferred

• Effective communication and presentation skills

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office  

• Ability to work in a team oriented, highly collaborative environment

• Ability to multi-task and work in very fast paced environment 

• Organizational and time management skills required

• Embodies all for one mentality

• Experience in using PLM systems

• Packaging design experience or interest

• Strong eye for color and very detail oriented
