    The Manager of Calendar Operations will work with the Design, Product Development, Merchandising and Creative teams to coordinate management of the product creation and Creative calendars and ensure the teams are aware of key priorities and deliverables. This person will also be involved in monitoring development targets and deliverables, and communicating changes across categories and functions to ensure alignment and timely execution. Routinely works with others to enhance and streamline processes in support of greater speed and agility. Serves as liaison between cross-functional partners and facilitates meetings as needed.


     

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Calendar and Time Management:

    • Directly responsible for creation and maintenance of the seasonal product creation calendar in accordance with the parameters of the brand

    • Partners with cross-functional partners align on milestone schedules in advance of each season start

    • Proactively identifies potential risks to milestone scheduling and deliverables

    • Ensures calendar accuracy at all times through timely updates to calendar and meeting schedules in response to changes, delays, etc.

    • Support efforts to streamline product creation processes to drive efficiency in support of speed and agility; from initial concept through production.

    • Recommend and support process improvements.

    • Facilitate the weekly cross-functional meeting for each category to monitor and react to changes in calendar milestones or deliverables.

    • Work with the Design Office to ensure all meetings are scheduled in advance of season start

    • Assist executive admin team in keeping milestone meetings updated and on-time.

    Communication:

    • Ensure Merchandising, Design, Product Development and Creative teams are aware of priorities & deadlines.

    • Facilitate meetings, distribute minutes capturing key meeting discussions, and communicate decisions in a timely manner.

    Design & Product Development Operations:

    • Identify deliverable inputs and outputs for cross-functional meetings in tandem with upcoming calendar milestones.

    • Following initial calendar creation for each season, meet with Design & Product Development teams to ensure sufficient worktime between milestones, taking into account travel and holiday schedules, etc.

    • Capture and report key performance indicators and metrics that pertain to calendar adherence & discipline and on-time milestone performance.

    Cross Functional Link/Liaison

    • Liaise between core cross-functional teams, such as Merchandising, Product Development, & Design as well as other inter-related counterparts such as Sales & International.

    EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED

    • 5+ years of Project Management/Operations Experience in Retail or related field

    • Bachelor's Degree

    • Experience in working with calendar and/or PLM systems.

    • Self-motivated and results oriented manager with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

    • Analytical and dynamic thinker who can think outside the box to reach a solution.

    • Attention to detail, follow-up and excellent organization.
